Calypso Star Charters: Swim with the Sealions
For a fun filled afternoon on the water, join Calypso Star Charters for a half day Swim with the Sea Lions tours. Tours are 4.5 hours in duration.
The Australian Sea Lions are known as the puppy dogs of the sea and this is clearly visible when you jump onboard this charter. Meet the boat at the Port Lincoln Marina at 1.30pm and enjoy the 1.5 hour journey to Seal Cove at Hopkins Island.
Along the way sit back and enjoy the comfort of the fully enclosed and air conditioned saloon or feel free to move around the vessel at your leisure and take in the beautiful sights.
Our friendly and knowledgeable crew are on hand to provide you with information about the area we travel through, the history of Port Lincoln, the wildlife we encounter along the journey and of course the amazing Australia Sea Lions.
Upon arrival a full briefing is provided with instructions on how to interact with the Sea Lions to get the most out of your tour.
We are permitted to remain at the Islands for up to one hour swimming with the gorgeous creatures.
Let them captivate and engage you with their amazing performance as they swirl, backflip, twist and twirl around you.
Great water clarity provides for fabulous photographic opportunities!
Meet at the Marina Hotel boarding pontoon at 1.30pm.
Enjoy the 1.5 hour scenic journey onboard our moden vessel MV Calypso Star I, recently refurbished for the ultimate in comfort.
Spend approximately 1 hour at Seal Cove, Hopkins Island exploring the backyard of these amazing talented creatures and be mesmerised by their remarkable and engaging performance.
Relax and enjoy the return journey to the Port Lincoln Marina.
Tours operate five days per week.
Tours depart from the Marina Hotel pontoon at 130pm. Tour departure times can be varied, please request with the office at the time of booking if absolutely required.

Tours commence at 1.15pm and return around 6pm.
Enjoy the 1.5 hour cruise from the Port Lincoln Marina to the beautiful surrounds of Hopkins Island.
Jump in the water on arrival for a fun fiilled underwater adventure exploring the playground fo these absolutely gorgeous and playful animals and they perform and mimic your behaviours.
After 1.5 hours of blissful fun, hop back onboard, have a warm shower and relax on the cruise back to the Marina
Tours depart from the Port Lincoln Marina at 1.30pm and return at 6.00pm.
