Great Barrier Reef Adventures – Full Day
Cruise through the Whitsunday Islands National Park enroute to the outer Great Barrier Reef, one of the world’s most stunning natural attractions. Explore the underwater wonderland and be held in awe by the magnificent corals and abundance of fish and other marine life. There’s even a good chance you’ll see our friendly mascot – the turtle.
We have two pontoons at two different reef sites. You’ll visit one site on the day but either location will give you a fantastic reef experience. Our pontoons have a choice of areas to relax and a great range of activities. There is undercover seating and tables, sun decks for topping up the tan, freshwater showers, change rooms and full access to the air conditioned comfort of the reef vessel. There are numerous ways to explore the reef, from the underwater viewing chamber, to the semi-submersible submarine, or snorkelling like a fish beneath the sea! The pontoons are adjacent to coral walls, the length of which you can explore. Protected as it is, it has its own ecosystem with magnificent corals and a diversity of marine life found only in sheltered areas. It provides a unique world for you to explore. The prolific fish life will surprise and delight you - especially the giant groper!
Hunger pains? Not with Awesome Whitsundays! Morning tea, afternoon tea and a sumptuous buffet lunch are included. Free tea and coffee is available onboard and there is a bar onboard serving a full range of alcoholic and soft drinks, also ice creams and confectionery. So if you want to travel in style and experience the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef at its best travel with ‘Awesome Whitsundays’! We look forward to welcoming you aboard.
Inclusions: This day cruise experience includes a luxury vessel transfer to and from the Reef, full use of an innovative and spacious reef pontoon, snorkelling with all gear provided, semi-submersible cruise with commentary, underwater viewing chamber, all you can eat buffet lunch, morning and afternoon tea, presentations by Reef Experts, FREE wetsuit usage and use of the sun deck for topping up your tan. Massage, guided snorkelling, heli-scenic flights and intro and certified diving experiences are available at an additional cost. You can also make purchases from the fully licensed bar.
What to Bring
Please bring swimwear, towel, protective clothing, hat, sunscreen lotion and a light jacket or sweater during the cooler months. You may also wish to bring money / credit card for any optional purchases. Don't forget to bring your camera.
Whitehaven Beach Camira Sailing Adventure – Full Day
Experience the wonders of this full day excursion exploring magnificent Whitehaven Beach and the spectacular Whitsunday Islands National Park on board ‘Camira’ – one of the world’s fastest commercial sailing catamarans. Swimming, snorkelling, beautiful beaches and bays, an all you can eat BBQ lunch and the thrill of high performance sailing – put it altogether and you have an exceptional day out on the water!
‘Camira’ a world first with her sleek lines, spacious deck areas and breathtaking performance, is capable of sailing at up to 30 knots! This is a sailing trip so we rely on Mother Nature and naturally things will vary according to conditions but our fun, well informed crew with years of local experience will give you the best sailing experience possible and ensure you have a day to remember. Sightings of gorgeous loggerhead turtles and stingrays are pretty much a daily event.
This is a fully inclusive day cruise, you don’t need to reach for your wallet! All activities, morning and afternoon tea, a delicious barbecue lunch and all refreshments are included whilst on board. ‘Camira’ is licensed to serve beer and wine from 11am. Not just a cruise but an awesome experience!

Guests leaving from Daydream Island Resort and Spa will connect with the Great Barrier Reef vessel at Hamilton Island on our resort connections services.
