Hidden within the Cooloola Section of the Great Sandy National Park is one of the Sunshine Coasts' best kept paddling secrets, the Noosa Everglades.

Within the Noosa Everglades, are the pristine headwaters of the Noosa River. A waterway that, due to its National Park status, has remained a delicate and pristine wilderness, undisturbed by civilization. Only two hours drive north of Queensland’s capital city, Brisbane, the glorious Noosa Everglades is well known by locals and visitors alike as a marvelous wildlife sanctuary, boasting magnificent birdlife and a myriad of natural vegetation types including wallum scrub, rainforest and coastal sand dunes.

We offer guided and self guided kayaking tours to the Noosa Everglades, plus white water canoe & kayak adventures for individuals and groups throughout Australia.

Meet at Elanda Point Kayak & Canoe Launching Area in the Great Sandy National Park. On arrival there is a small amount of paper work and you are given your dry bag for the day. When everyone is packed and ready to go - the tour departs  Elanda Point  where we launch and pack the kayaks for the days tour.  We settle you into your kayak, teaching you all the basic skills for an enjoyable paddle across Lake Cootharaba to Kinaba and Fig Tree Lake the heart of the Noosa Everglades where we enjoy a delicious hearty lunch. The tour continues into upper Noosa River, through the section known as ‘the river of mirrors’ - a wonder land of reflecting landscapes. Enjoy a refreshing swim in the pristine waters and feel the serenity of this unique wilderness. On the journey home, if the wind is blowing in a favourable direction, we may hoist the sails for the crossing of Lake Cootharaba and back to the launch site.

Departure: Tours depart from Elanda Point Kayak & Canoe Launch Area, QLD 4565

Tour Duration: 8.30am to 3.00pm

Available: On  Tuesday,Thursday and Saturday. With groups of 3 or more other days maybe arranged.

Transport: 
Complimentary transport to and  from the Noosa area to Boreen Point (If client is without own transport) is available 
Early/special return drop off $45.00 may be charged.
