There are two exciting tour options, the Northern Exposure and Southern Lights. Each Ocean Rafting day offers three days in one, including an exhilarating ride to Whitehaven Beach, pristine snorkelling reefs and guided Whitsunday Island National Parks walks. Ocean Rafting is the only tour to have direct access to the stunning and iconic Hill Inlet beach, and special snorkel sites at Hook Island and Border Island ensure a memorable underwater experience.
Northern Exposure Tour:
Explore the restricted area of Hill Inlet at Whitehaven Beach. Join our guided walk to the stunning views at Hill Inlet lookout and visit several Hook Island snorkel sites.
Southern Lights Tour:
Visit the southern and northern ends of world famous Whitehaven Beach. Snorkel the pristine reefs at Border Island, join the guided walk to Hill Inlet lookout and experience the walk to the Southern Whitehaven lookout with breathtaking views of Pentecost Island.
What's Included:
Courtesy bus pickup, personalised snorkel instruction, reef and island naturalist talks, guided National Park walk, snorkel floatation devices, use of snorkel equipment and cake for afternoon tea.

Ocean Rafting was the first tour company in the Whitsundays to hold ecological accreditation from the Ecotourism Association of Australia, an accolade of which they are very proud. With a cruising speed of over 30 knots, the vessels can explore vast areas of the Whitsundays in one day - but the design of the vessel reduces fuel usage and impact and therefore is more environmentally friendly.
A complement of only 25 to 32 guests and 2 crew on each vessel allows for personal service, from the courtesy bus pick up in the morning, individual snorkel lessons, and guided National Park walking trails. 70% of the boats are under shade providing comfort from the tropical sun.

Northern Exposure
The Northern Exposure eco adventure is a favourite amongst avid snorkellers because it is the only Whitsunday adventure which includes two different snorkel destinations. Not only that, but it includes a visit to the stunning beach at Hill Inlet, north end of Whitehaven Beach, and a guided National Park walk to the lookout above the silica sand of Whitehaven. Explore the restricted area of beautiful Hill Inlet at Whitehaven Beach. The main difference between the two tours is that the Northern Exposure offers more snorkelling time and the Southern Lights has more beach time.
Southern Lights
The Southern Lights tour visits both the northern and southern ends of Whitehaven Beach. Enjoy at least two hours relaxing on the world famous white silica sand, a guided walk to Hill Inlet Lookout and experience the Southern Whitehaven Lookout, enjoying breathtaking views of Pentecost Island and the tropical waters of the Whitsundays. Snorkel for over an hour at Border Island, Dumbell Island or one of our “secret” snorkel spots, enjoying the amazing hard and soft corals of the fringing reefs. The main difference between Ocean Rafting’s two tours is that the Southern Lights has more beach time and the Northern Exposure offers more snorkelling time.
Northern Exposure Tour:
Departs: 8.45am, Abell Point Marina North (next to Sorrento Restaurant & Bar), Airlie Beach.
Returns: 3.30pm
Coutesy coach pick ups from 7.45am-8.30am
Southern Lights Tour:
Departs: 10am, Abell Point Marina North (next to Sorrento Restaurant & Bar), Airlie Beach.
Returns: 4.30pm
Courtesy coach pick ups from 8.45am-9.30am
