Pro Dive Cairns: 3 day/2 night Nitrox Course (3DNX)

The Great Barrier Reef is renowned as one of the seven natural wonders of the world and a declared World Heritage site. It encompasses 350,000 square kilometres of the South Pacific Ocean, extends for 2,000 kilometres, is made up of 2900 individual reefs and 71 coral cays.

About the Nitrox Course: Enriched Air (also known as Nitrox) is a Nitrogen/Oxygen mix that has a greater percentage of oxygen and a lesser percentage of nitrogen in it than normal air. This means safer diving and potentially longer bottom times due to reduced Nitrogen absorption, this is ideal for multiple day diving.

When you join our 3 day Nitrox Course, you will visit up to four easterly outer Great Barrier Reef locations, taking in sites selected for their extravagance of marine life and excellent visibility - these sites are rarely visited by other vessels. Divers get the opportunity to view magnificent hard and soft corals, giant clams, turtles, stingrays and the largest variety of tropical fish, both large and small. The schedule allows for a total of 11 dives, 2 of which are night dives (conditions permitting) and snorkelling. Cabins onboard are all twin share (2 single bunks) and there are two double cabins available upon request. All major international scuba accreditations are accepted and snorkellers are also welcome.

Guests: 32 guests and 6 crew

Whats Included: 11 dives (2 training), Nitrox certificate, Nitrox manual, 2 passport photos, accommodation transfers, all meals on the boat, twin cabin onboard, dive equipment, dive computer, log book, accommodation transfers, comprehensive dive insurance

What to Bring: Overnight bag with towels, swimmers, toiletries (soap etc), comfortable clothing

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION DIVERS Prior to commencing your Nitrox Course you are required to read the self-assessment Continuing Education Student Diver Medical Declaration. A positive response to any question means that there is a pre-existing condition that may affect your safety while diving and you must consult a medical practitioner preferably with experience in diving medicine to obtain a dive medical certificate that states that you are fit to undertake recreational diver training before starting the course.
